they have a solid fanbase and their popularity is not bad. they ranked pretty high on music charts and were able to somehow maintain their ranking but it was only due to their fandom
2. Seventeen
they are rookies but their fandom strength is amazing. their ranking on music chart is pretty amazing too. their popularity with teen girls is impressive but they are not that well known with older people/general public
3. Oh My Girl
US Kpop? they were ranked pretty high on a foreign chart but their ranking on Korean music chart is... a bit regrettable
4. Monsta X
even though they are still rookies, they got their name out there with SMTM and other activities. they even shot a reality show with MNET. however, the group is not that well known.. but you never know if their next comeback can be a daebak or not
5. Up10tion
they are still pretty weak and same goes for them, you never know if their next comeback can be a daebak or not

- after your analysis, aren't Lovelyz and Seventeen the strongest..? I don't know about the other groups but I think that these 2 groups will win #1 this year

- I feel that Lovelyz make comebacks more frequently though. Seventeen and Lovelyz both are filming their reality shows so their fandom is growing stronger so there's a possibility for them to win #1 this timeㅇㅇ

- if they can grab the right timing, Seventeen. they are a rookie group but they already have their solo concert and their albums are selling well too
