[enter-talk] SERIOUSLY I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW FOREIGNER IDOLS HAVE A WEIRD ACCENT

(t/n: NO SHADE INTENDED we took this picture for this post because it seems to be related to the Twice article we made yesterday and we had to find a picture as a header so we chose them, OP might or might not be talking about Twice!)

If they wanted to become singers that bad and came to Korea, shouldn't they at least know how to pronounce Korean? Of course I can understand that they can have a bit of accent when they talk in interviews or in their daily lives since they're obviously foreigners, so it would be impossible to completely get rid of an accent. But when it comes to singing, those who can't even get a single line right are just damn..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Is it because they don't wanna put any effort? Nowadays, there are a lot of foreign activities so they have to learn Japanese and Chinese too, if they can't even sing a song in our country's language, why are they even learning other languages?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Get your Korean straight first

Of course to some extent you can cover it through your own effort, but even if you practice Korean everyday 24/7, there are still cases of people with an accent. That's why I don't like seeing foreigners debuting in our country, people can call me racist, but I don't hate their countries, it's just that when I hear them sing, it sounds unpleasant

But this can't be helped.  Their mouth structures are different from birth, even their spelling system and phonology are totally different. Of course I don't know why they choose to debut these people, but you can't say something like "I don't understand why they can't get the pronunciation right" there's always a limit no matter how much effort you put.

There's someone mentioning Lay, but he really improved a lot?? He really improved a lot since his debut days, in the old days, there was such a big difference between his Korean and Chinese and some even found him uncomfortable to listen to. But I don't think that he doesn't make any effort. He's coming from another country and it's really not something easy to do. If I put it the other way, if Koreans went overseas, no matter how much effort they put, they'll still have some accent.

You can blame it on the mouth structure if you want but why would they still want to come to Korea and debut here? I think that if you want to become a singer here, you should at least be as good as Joo Kyulkyung

It can't be helped that foreigners have some lingering accent left but I find it so so that they promote in Korea... To the people listening to their songs, it's very unpleasant
