That's what happened to EXO during Sing for you too ㅇㅇ There's lots of instance like this happening, Oh Sehun only had one line in Sing for youㅇㅇ

Seriously most of this song was about Ong Sungwoo, Hwang Minhyun, Ha Sungwoon and Kim Jaehwan. The song wasn't an easy song to sing, they have to at least put people who would be able to pull off those parts right ㅋㅋㅋ I don't know for Lee Daehwi (he said himself that he's weak when it comes to high notes and acknowledged that he had a hard time with it), but it would've been irrational to make Park Jihoon, Bae Jinyoung and Yoon Jisung sing their parts

That's something that was inevitable... There were just too many members who are good at singing. Kim Jaehwan and Ha Sungwoon are the main vocals, Hwang Minhyun and Ong Sungwoo are in charge of the high notes since they can pull them off. Park Jihoon and Yoon Jisung just can't do it, so it can't be helped

Big agencies have lots of groups with members having only one line, just look at EXO or Seventeen.
