[enter-talk] THE REASON WHY ROOKIE MALE IDOLS ARE HAVING IT HARD

Image result for naver charts

1. Digital power, fandom power and physical power separating from each other since 2013. Recently, for digital power, you see ballad and hip hop artists becoming stronger than idols. Especially from 2017. From #1~20 on the charts, you can see ballad songs climbing up the charts and if we look at idols-wise, there's only YG who are holding their base. If you look at the past 2 years, there's really only FXXK it, Really really, Love Scenario, Flower road, etc. that are dance songs on the charts. The problem is that fandom alone will never be able to reach a score like that. So the only way to survive would be to have both fandom and public recognition.

Nonetheless, there are extreme cases like EXO and BTS where their fandoms are the ones grabbing them by the collars, but they're the only cases. Having a fandom with this amount of power is very hard to reach and it demands a lot of time. Their rankings can drop easily.

2. Ever since EXO's fandom became the "standard" for fandom culture, the term "slave mind" came to life and fandom longevity has been increasing. It used to be that we just consume whatever was given to us, but nowadays, the fans are obliged and are responsible to make their idols successful. When they make a digital release, we must stream for 2 months, we need to keep purchasing their goods for the whole promotion period, for their physical albums, we need to buy hundreds of albums, if they don't receive an award, the whole fandom atmosphere becomes lousy. Once your fandom reach this kind of atmosphere, you're a has-been and you need to give them results all the time. It leaves no room for new fandoms for male idols to form. In the past, it was easy to jump from one fandom to the other, but now, you're locked down always working for your own fandom to deliver the results.

ㅋㅋㅋSo freaking funny, so you're saying that as long as your bias is #1 on the charts, you can't change fandom at all?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

What's up with the 2nd one ㅋㅋㅋㅋ it's not that we're slaves to loyalty, it's because the other idols out there have no appeal and we're only interested in our own bias because they're unique. I know you're not saying anything wrong, but it seems like you're trying to drag EXO?

Why do I feel like you're calling EXO has-beens? You keep mentioning results and how the fandom needs to maintain their results, etc. It's not because your bias can't hit big that you have to vent out on EXO and call them has-beens

What you said about fandom longevity being extended is true. And it's definitely true that even if you sell up to 500K-1M copies, you're still going to be out of the chart. It's so severe right now that it's almost impossible to be in the charts. Right now, we basically became a fandom business

What's up with you calling out big groups a has-been ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's not their fault if rookies can't blow up nowadays, if they knew how to come up with a solid and unique concept, they'd do well?

Obviously, you're trying to swear at EXO. We're blaming every problem on EXO, it's always EXO's fault and they're always has-beens ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
