[enter-talk] FOREIGN K-POP FANS' REACTIONS TO PANN

First of all, this is going to be a long post. I've been living in the US for half of my life and I've been wanting to make this post even before when I was still not so versed in my speaking. But I've held it in. But I've been reading recent posts and finally decided to write this.

I sometimes browse Instagram and the foreign fans would sometimes upload k-pop related stuffs and I would follow these accounts just for fun. There are lots of accounts like these. They are all accounts that translate the PANN posts who have a lot of upvotes, comments and they translate everything into English.




The ones that are in red are taken from PANN and sometimes from DC or Naver. These people don't translate the contents directly. They just repost anything from a website called Pannchoa (I don't know the details ㅜㅜ)

Seeing the comments, they all call us "Knetz/Knets' (Korean Netizen). The problem is that the comments on Instagram are all cursing at the "knetz".

Some days ago, there was a post about P48's Japanese member Sakura who was receiving hate in Korea and the foreign fans were asking why Koreans were cursing her. They were saying how we didn't even know her well and were all swearing at us instead (I don't really know her either but I know that she had issues for being a right-wing and with lolita concepts. Even though they are aware, they just end up ignoring these issues)



These kind of comments appear a lot but I was so shocked when I saw this today.


This was about the refugees in Jeju-do.
I don't know the details either but I know the overall issues after reading some posts on PANN (these refugees aren't seeking safety in another country, instead, they group together to sexually harass girls, are a danger to other people, etc.)


I don't know if this post was uploaded on PANN but first of all they did not include our reactions. The comments were all about how Korean people are not trying to understand the issues, that we're ignoring refugees and so many comments are cursing at us




I too was so frustrated reading these comments...
I know that compared to foreign netizens, Korean netizens write a lot more hateful comments. Out of 10 posts, maybe 1 will be about praising someone?
Also, I know that if one of our celebrities makes a big mistake, we would ask him/her to reflect and acknowledge his/her wrongdoings. But the foreign fans would just jump in to shield them and would use these nonsensical Korean and write "Oppa would never do that~ㅠㅠ, I understand Oppa"... Japan and the refugees are such sensitive topics for Koreans.. the foreign fans don't even try to understand these issues properly and just ignore our words and hate on us.

So I hope that Pannchoa website translates this so that that Instagram can upload this post.

I don't know about anything else but if they are so concerned about refugees, they should take them in thenㅋㅋ They just show concerns with their mouths, how sickening

There's a Japanese female-centric site called 'girlschannel.net' that's way bigger than PANN. There is so much more hate there. If that site ends up being translated, won't these people end up fainting?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, can't we report these sites? I have goosebumps thinking about how they translate everything in our backsㅠㅠㅋ

Not only this. Back then, there was a post about Jokwon's dog's face size and it was in the featured posts. Our best comments were just joking and laughing about it. But they took it out of context and were saying how Korean people even judge dogs' appearances. Another time, Hanyu Yuzuru was receiving so much hate because of his Kimigayo incident but they took it out of context again saying how Koreans were jealous of Japan for winning gold. It's true that they just take everything out of context and translate recklessly. This is a big issue. It looks like these sites are as big as PANN and even have hundreds of upvotes in their comments. Also, those accounts are just anti-hallyuㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ they never post about Japanese's brutality no matter how high they are ranked. They never post about right-wing incidents, but instead they post about Sakura's surgery just to hate on Korean netizensㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They make it seem like Korean netizens were so dirty and that foreign fans are all clean and refined; Those are just sites that want to tarnish Korean's image.

Ahn Joonyoung is a traitor. Back then, in AKB48's MV, there were no other comments than Japanese comments, but now, a lot more English comments have appeared and it became a post promoting J-pop. Just look at how those I-roaches terrorize any stage with Korean trainees

They are making a fuss about how racial discrimination is disgusting but aren't they doing the same against Asians??ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋYou guys are even more disgusting. You take care of these refugees then~~~~~ㅋㅋ
