there's this guy at my school who moved from south korea to here about a few years ago. he's really popular among the girls at my school bcoz he's pretty good looking (imo he gives off lai guanlin vibes) but the thing is he's super duper quiet and only has like one or two people that he talks with and u can tell that he's more comfortable with speaking in korean rather than english. i never interacted with him until recently when we got put in a class together, and the teacher paired us up for a project! he was kind of struggling in this class so i helped him out a lot on the project and he turned out to be more easy going than i thought and i get this feeling that he really wants to be more talkative and all but because he's been so quiet all this time, it's hard for him to do so? i don't know how to explain it exactly but he's reminds me of lai guanlin who came to sk without knowing any korean TTTTTTT after we finished our project he came up to me and said thank u and that he appreciate the help and all that and i could rlly feel his sincerity and awkwardness which was so cute TTTTTTT he's srsly so much like lai guanlin in both looks and personality and they got the same gummy smile too!! my friend and i invited him to sit with us at lunch bcoz he usually sits alone and at first we'd talk but then nowadays it's just super awkward and he just goes off to the library to study or sleep. i would try to talk to him in korean but my korean is terrible plus im really self conscious of my accent because i was born in canada. we still say hi to each other in the hallways but other than that i lost the one tiny interaction i had with him... i wouldn't say he's my crush because i don't feel nervous but he's more like a guy that i just want to become friends with? is there any way i could start a conversation with him without being super obvious or pushy, and how can i tell the difference if he wants to be left alone or if he's just plain awkward ;;;;;;; i know we don't have much going but this is my last year before graduation and i just want to make a new friend before he goes back to korea TT
