Kim Sangkyo (28), the first informant of the Burning Sun scandal said on his Instagram that Mr. Jeon (21) was a whistle blower who told him about the drugs, the way Burning Sun conducted business, etc.
Kim Sangkyo said "at that time, that friend who was barely 20 y.o took all his courage and told me everything. He told me about the drugs, business operations, access entry to minors and the directors' assaults. This friend just started as a security guard and lived in an unbelievable world and told me that the world should know about this. He wanted to prevent the dirt to spread in society and it all started with one person."
Jeon did an interview with Joongang Ilbo and said "I was working when Sangkyo hyung was assaulted and witnessed the scene. The Burning Sun told me to say that there was 'never any assault and instead, Kim Sangkyo sexually assaulted people.' I thought to myself 'if I was him, how unfair must I have felt?' so I wanted to lend him a helping hand."
He told Kim that there were VIPs doing drugs and who fed date rape drugs to girls, and who proceeded to r*pe them afterwards. Moreover, he reported that minors were secretly admitted, that police were getting bribed, that police would never go inside the club even if incidents were reported, etc.
He also shared about how Burning Sun threatened him. He said "the head team guard told me 'tell me who's the informant? Otherwise, I'll kill you. If you want to live, tell me who the whistle blower is.'" Jeon also said "but once the media and investigation agencies revealed the truth, it/he became quiet."
Jeon told Joongang Ilbo "no matter how much money they have, they treated drugs and r*pes like jokes. I hate seeing that as a human. I want them to all get caught once and for all. If there is anything I can reveal to be of help, I will reveal it any time. I hope that the truth is cleanly revealed and that we fix everything that went wrong."
