[theqoo] IDOLS WHO SOLD 40K ALBUMS IN THEIR 1ST WEEK SALES, AND 90K ALBUMS IN TOTAL BUT HAD AN EMPTY VENUE ON YES24

It's Rookie group Ateez

(1st weeks sales, 2nd column: daily sales, 3rd column: accumulated sales)
(1st weeks sales, 2nd column: daily sales, 3rd column: accumulated sales)

They sold 6K copies for their 2nd album
But they sold 45K copies for their 3rd album, they really oversold themselves

But once you searched them up, it's not from domestic sales, but they're really popular overseas
That's why they all gather up in K-town
But still on K-town, the 2nd album sold 6K
and the 3rd album 9K

They raised the sales from 6K to 40K
but when you look at K-town there's only 3K difference between the 2nd and 3rd album

Their 40K first week sales was even able to get them the #1 on The Show
and tons of articles have been released about them being raising stars

1. But it's true they're popular overseas

2. Even for idols who are more popular overseas, if they don't have the fame in Korea, the I-fans will drop out super quickly too. For I-fans, the domestic popularity is actually something very important. There's a reason why Korean idols who are popular domestically are also the ones who are popular overseas

3. Even my bias who are f*cking bad at selling their albums can fill up a venue like that

4. Who are Ateez? Are they made from Produce's fall outs?

5. Hul even idols who sell less albums than them are able to sell more tickets than that

6. My bias aren't even able to sell half the amount they did in the 1st week, but they're still able to fill almost all their venue, they must have many I-fans

7. Even actors can fill their fanmeeting better than this...

8. I really do think that their marketing strategies are bad, so I don't really like them, but I don't see anything suspicious either..

9. It's so easy to fill a venue this size, and you don't even need to sell 50K albums...

10. Who??
