[theqoo] BIGHIT'S SIDE "ACQUIRING PLEDIS? NOTHING CONFIRMED YET"

Bighit responded to the news saying "We've received a lot of opportunities, but regarding what you are inquiring of us, we haven't made a decision yet"

original post: here

1. I'm pretty sure they'll end up with the acquisition, otherwise they would've just said "groundless rumors"

2. I can understand that they've made a lot of money from Bangtan, but they really are looking into becoming a huge entertainment company

3. Why wouldn't people want this to happen? At some point they'll need to give more independence to Bangtan and they need to live their lives too, and Bighit are doing their job just fine right now, they've done pretty good things for a small company bringing up their own idols and they've pushed Bangtan good enough.

4. I f*cking hate Bighit ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. But looking at Bighit's position, they probably feel in danger if they were to bet all their earnings to BTS alone, so of course they would want some kind of securityㅋㅋㅋ  That's probably why they're doing that

6. Why do people hate this plan... Bighit have been depending way too much on Bangtan until now, I feel like this makes a lot of good business sense

7. I guess the I-fans of BTS would like the idea no?

8. I feel like they're doing better than DSP trying to branch out on the small to medium size business. What they're doing is rather smart

9. Regardless of the rational behind this, I can understand why the fans are mad but they're only mad because they don't want to be associated with certain labels, you have to realize that this doesn't influence your singers at all

10. The fans can hate all they want, isn't this a win-win situation for both businesses? Pledis is the biggest company among the SMBs and Bighit has been depending too much on Bangtan, in the future, both will benefit from this
