[marriage/in-laws] IS THE SENTENCE FOR THE WATCHMAN FOR REAL?

T/N: Watchman = an office worker named 'Jeon' who's an admin of the Telegram Nth Room

Nothing has changed. I just feel so powerless. If an admin of the Telegram only gets 3 years and 6 months in prison, the members will probably get released without charge. If the law is like this, how are the victims gonna live on? On what would our citizens rely on to continue living? They committed these crimes so easily and are getting out even more easily. This has to change.

The prosecutors have confirmed that the 'Watchman' (Jeon, 38, office worker) of the Nth Room have exploited minors, illegally filmed them and shared the videos and that he will only be sentenced for 3 years and 6 months.

I want our country to be like the US where just being in possession of such things would guarantee you 15 years in prison

Everyone, the 3 years and 6 months isn't the final verdict. the prosecutors said on his pretrial that he must get around 3 years and 6 months in prison, and this is what they called 'a strong sentence'ㅎ this is hopeless, they are suspending his sentence again. Seriously, Korea is ruined

What the f*ck? Even 36 years wouldn't be enough and he gets 3 years and 6 months? Our country's laws need to be revamped. We need life sentencing for sexual crimes. That's the only way for people to stop doing whatever they want

He must have a nice life. He'll be gone for 3 years and 6 months and then repeat once he's back and do this back and forth. He'll even be able to sell 100 more rooms for the rest of his life

Why aren't we revealing the personal information of the Watchman?

People say that living in Korea is nice but it's definitely not a good country to live in for women and children. That's why women's happiness increase when they go overseas. It's only nice to live here if you're a man
