[theqoo] MUSIC BROADCAST'S YOUTUBE REVENUE SHOULD BE SHARED"... MANAGEMENTS' REQUESTS FOR FAIR TRADE

Articles talk about, singers and other entertainment people used to appear on music shows without a contract. It was interpreted that the broadcaster owns the copyright for the video, and since they appeared for the purpose of broadcasting on TV, there was no problem using the video. But because music shows now use Youtube and other OTT services a lot more in order to broadcast those music shows, there needs to be a new form of contract.

The content of singers who appear on shows like Music Bank, Inkigayo, Music Core, etc. whether it's clips that's been cut and uploaded on Youtube or other Youtube original content, will be monetized. However there's been some conflicts of owning rights between the idols' management and music shows over those contents. This is why the management has started to request for a revenue sharing contract.

1. ????? So you're telling me that until now they never got paid...?

2. Huh they obviously need to share it...

3. I'm more shocked at the fact that this wasn't shared until now

4. What they didn't receive any money from that;;; They're freaking thugs, they already don't get paid that much for their appearance, and it's not like they have to pay for the setㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. No but KPOP has been a big thing on Youtube for so long already but they still don't consider it as something normal? Broadcast stations are such thugsㅋㅋㅋ

6. No?? They didn't receive anything?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So that's they're trying to find excuses to not give them money? I'm freaking throwing up

7. They are indeed thugs

8. That abuse of power is solid, and we already know that not all broadcast companies will pay idols for appearing on their shows either!

9. At least they should pay them for using their songs as copyrights no?

10. So they didn't pay all this time????? I always thought that this was a givenㅋㅋ  Damn itㅋㅋ  They already give them peanuts for their apperances on TV... They seriously have no shame
