According to media outlet reports on August 18, BLACKPINK's Jisoo has been cast in her first ever lead role in a TV drama series!
Jisoo will be taking on the female lead role of an upcoming JTBC drama series called 'Snowdrop' (working title). The production will be headed by scriptwriter Yoo Hyun Mi and director Jo Hyun Tak of the hit JTBC series 'SKY Castle'.
Shortly after the above media reports made headlines, a representative of YG Entertainment stepped up to confirm, "It's true that Jisoo has been cast in the new drama 'Snowdrop'." This will mark Jisoo's first return to the small-screen since her appearance in tvN's 'Arthdal Chronicles' last year.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK are also gearing up for their long-awaited comeback with their 1st full album this fall, set for release on October 2.

1. I don't really care who's going to be cast, but the synopsis was insane, I hope they fixed it?
2. This drama received so much talks when the synopsis first got released. The theqoo readers were all wishing that their bias actors/actresses wouldn't get cast in that drama. It looks like they weren't able to cast any decent actors from the script so they're relying on casting idols
3. I feel like they cast Blackpink because they're popular, I wonder if she can act. If they cast an idol as a lead role right off the bat, and she ends up being bad, she's going to get so much hateㅠ I don't know how the BlackPink fas are reacitng to this, but I always get worried when an idol takes a lead role for their first dramaㅠ

And I'm not joking telling you that the original title was "Ehwa University's Dormitory" but they changed the title because of the university's name...; The male lead is supposed to be surnamed Lim, which reminds me of an actual person, anyways that content is just overall a mess. The activist group is all about being pro-North Korea and beautifying North Korea, etc. There's nothing good about this drama, it just sounds like a failure...
9. People from theqoo originally were all wishing that this drama never materializes, if you're curious why we call this a ticking bomb, just go read the synopsisㅋㅋ We're not making a mess because of the leads, the synopsis is real trash
