Gain's crimes became known when a plastic surgeon in his 70s was indicted. The Suwon District Court's Criminal Case Division 3 (Chief Judge Kim Soo-il) sentenced a plastic surgeon in his 70s (Mr. A), who was charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act and Medical Act on the 25th, to one year and six months in prison and a fine of 3 million won.
In June 2020, Mr. A sold three boxes of Etomidate painkillers to Gain at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul, which he runs, for 1.5 million won. He was handed over to trial for selling over 490 painkillers.
A is also accused of injecting propofol, a psychotropic drug, to four people, including Gain, for about a year from August 2019.
Gain escaped punishment by stating to the investigative agency that “I thought it was for my treatment,” but in the end, it was revealed that he had actually administered propofol.
