[theqoo] JOKER TO BE BANNED FROM JAPANESE BROADCASTㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷ

It has been announced by multiple media reports that the the movie 'Joker' released in 2019 is highly likely to be banned on Japanese TV.

… … …

According to the testimony of an official, the reason for the ban was an incident that occurred recently. On October 31st, the "unquestioned weapon case" occurred in a train on the Keio Line running in Chofu City, Tokyo. It was judged that the suspect in the case, in which 18 people were seriously injured, mentioned admiration for Joker in the investigation after arrest. In the movie, there was a scene in which the Joker kills a person in a train, and the suspect in the case is wearing a suit that mimics the Joker at the time of the crime, so it is likely that he was strongly influenced by this work. In addition, since there have been several incidents that seem to imitate the case, also occurring on trains, there was a growing opinion in which Joker might have incited those kinds of behaviors. Although an official announcement has not been made yet, there are speculations that it will be difficult not only to broadcast the work on national TV channels but also to re-release it in theaters.

Pros and cons of this ban on broadcasting are expected to be very divided.

original post: here

1. Joker was a good movie, in the sense that I enjoyed it as a movie.
But I can kind of understand r*tards wanting to copy him when they watch the movieㅠ
I remembered copying movements of my favorite game characters in the past too

2. F*ck because of people like these, I won't be able to go around saying I like Joker anymore

3. Japanese manga X was also forced into hiatus because of a copycat crime... The incels are crazy

4. I can totally understand the ban. I have a friend living in Tokyo and they mentioned that nowadays, copycat crimes are becoming more and more frequent

5. I can understand people calling it overreaction if this was a one time thing. But with the 6 stabbing incidents on Shinkansen train, it's clear that this might incite another copycat crime

6. There were already a lot of people who were against the re-premiering of Joker because of the fear of copycat crimes so this was expected

7. Look at what those incel f*ckers have done..

8. No but I feel like our country should also be banning movies with contents like these...

9. Joker movie quality aside. From a different point of view, this movie can be considered a total failure

10. I'm suddenly curious about what the director of Joker thinks about all these copycat crimes
