He has already promoted for so long and the fans who remained with him all this time are the ones who stuck through all the scandals, so they probably thought that the fans would for sure be understanding and support him. Even in his letter, he doesn't apologize once to the fans. Seeing how even SM said that EXO will continue to promote, they probably thought that they wouldn't take a blow from the fans like that ㅋㅋ...
