[teens stories] I HAVE A FRIEND WHO ALWAYS PICKS ON MY COMPLEXES EVERY TIME I MEET WITH HER

Seriously… my situation is too ambiguous so I’m writing here

We’ve been close for almost over 3 years now and she’s my closest friend, but…

I’m pretty short but one day, she just started to randomly tell me ‘you’re so short’ and she kept being like that from then on. There are some nuances in the way she says it but she would always mention it.

If we were to meet 7 times, I would endure it for 6 time and tell her to stop on the 7^th time but then she would say that it’s just a joke and ask why I’m overreacting.

My skin is usually good but it became really bad at some point.

However, my friend has always had bad skin but her skin became really good now. So basically, we’ve went through similar things when it comes to our skin. But now, she would always mention our skin every time we meet… she would say “I can eat whatever I want now and not have any skin problems’, ‘your skin became so bad’.

She seriously says these things at least once or twice per day and it’s so obvious when she stares at my skin;

To be honest, I thought ‘am I just being too overly sensitive?’

But she always picks on my looks every time we meet… I don’t know why in the world would she start acting like this. Should I tell her that she changed? She’s seriously a really close friend of mine so I’m not sure if I should tell her or not

You’re the only one who’s not aware of this but a really close friend wouldn’t mess with you like this. I feel like only OP thinks that they are good friends?ㅋ

I don’t think that your “friend” thinks of you like a friend. If she did, she wouldn’t act like this towards you. She probably thinks that you’re lower than her and is jealous of you. Girls who think that other girls should be their enemies are detestable. Your friend is the typical fox-type of person

I’m sure that OP is prettyㅋㅋ usually, people who are jealous of others will do anything to find something bad about others. For example, Seolhyun – dark skin, Suzy – elephant legs, Irene – short, Jungkook – bad skin, Park Jihoon – proportions/height. And that’s how they show their inferiority complex. They are just too focused to find the negative in others.
