[theqoo] CURRENT SITUATION IN THE US WITH THE #STOPASIANHATE MOVEMENT

Demonstrations are being held, and they are being handled like an important matter on TV talk shows and broadcasts.

Like BLM, a lot of celebrities have posted the #stopasianhate hashtag.

There were also a lot of celebrities who contributed to the cause by donating to the victim's families and who wrote lengthy posts on this matter.

Asians are also working hard (the woman with the loudspeaker in the picture is Sandra Oh, a Korean-Canadian actress), not only Asians are voicing their opinions, but a lot of Hollywood celebrities, regardless of being white or blank, have posted about it... (There are so many that I can't upload them all...There are so many famous people that it's meaningless to pick up just a few people, so I'll just skip everything.)

The BLM movement started after a murder committed by police authorities, and although the gravity of the incident is different, the US is treating this of the same importance.

1. You need to know just how embarrassing racism isㅋㅋ These people are trying hard to be acknowledged by people of another country and are working hard to live in another country. For our country to think that it's only an issue of other people's country when even foreigners who try to live in Korea are facing immense discrimination.. to be honest, I don't think that this issue only applies to other countries

2. Find strength...

3. If you have ever travelled and faced racism, you would know how sh*tty and scared you feel afterwards.. ha... but since it was on vacation, it was only for a short period of time but just how hard must it be for people who are living thereㅜㅜ It's a relief that it's getting traction

4. I don't really watch the news so I didn't know about this ㅜㅜ I'm thankful for the people who are not Asian but who still participated in the demonstration... I hope that they do this in Europe too. Because of Corona, just taking the public transport as an Asian will f*cking attract other people's gazes and if the public transport is full of teens, I try my best to not make eye contact with them.. sigh... people who have never experienced this would never know

5. Sandra unnie... so cool... this unnie is just the coolest ㅜㅜ

6. I support you

7. Everyone who voiced their opinions are so cool ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

8. For the people whining about this and who are commenting "anyways, I've never been a victim of racism, so what?", I hope that you get your karma back

9. It's a relief that this became a hot topic in the US

10. Even with this, Korea-Japan-China are too busy fighting each other like ret*rds because of history, culture and whatnot and s*cking up to white people instead. Sigh...

11. Sandra Oh is f*cking cool ㅠㅠ I hope that people stop saying that this is just "other people's business"
