[naver] "MAKING INFINITE ACCOUNTS?" ... CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING THE GOLDEN DISK POPULARITY AWARD VOTING

The controversy surrounding the 2019 Golden Disc popularity award started when the show announced that the results will be 100% based on votes in order to stay fair.

The voting was held until December 31st. Some fans who participated in the voting voiced their discontentment saying "one fandom was sharing ways to create IDs indefinitely. There were cases where phone numbers were stolen."

The voting system is made in a way where fans can vote only through an account from a specific application.

Unlike other popularity awards, the Golden Disk popularity award only allows you to have one ID and 3 votes per day. However, fans can get 3 additional votes by paying through the app.

The controversy surrounding the fairness of the vote started a few days before the deadline. A few days before the deadline, EXO, who were ranked 2nd had a 100K vote difference with the 1st place, BTS. And in a blink of an eye, their positions were reversed. It is very unlikely that in such a short amount of time, with only a maximum of 6 votes, that the fans were able to gather up 100K votes.

It was argued that a particular fandom used illegal methods to create an infinite amount of IDs. This fandom who had thousands of followers even encouraged fans through SNS to share illegal ways to participate in the voting. The phone numbers illegally stolen were also shared through SNS.

This is not the first time a controversy about the voting fairness has been raised with regard to popularity awards. Wanna One won first place last year with 1,517,900 votes at the KPMA while EXO had 1,496,101 votes and also won a joint award.

Why did the journalist post a picture of Bangtan? Please make it clear that it was the EXO fans. This could become an article where people will criticize other idol groups' fans

This is a crime that goes beyond fanwars. I think that this should be talked about

Make sure that the Golden Disc staffs investigate this. The fact that all of this was done openly against your award ceremony is like spitting on its reputation. The fact that they stole hundreds of phone numbers illegally is a flagrant crime. That company should be ashamed of how the fandom just acts the way they want

EXO fans cast illegal votes and weren't even able to become #1

That account had 170K followers and openly did web-hacking and bypassed VPN illegally and even encouraged others to do it. None of the fans told them to stop and when other fandoms were calling them out, they were not letting them say anything and pressured them to stay hush hush about itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ now that they are caught, they are playing dumbㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Make sure to state it clearly that it was EXO's fandom please
