[theqoo] "THE SPONSORED BAG THAT ALL FEMALE CELEBRITIES HAVE" ... PRADA THAT DEGENERATED FROM A LUXURY BRAND TO A PROP

Recently, the social media of celebrities have been plastered with Prada bags. Using celebrities posing with a 'proof shot' of the bag seems like a cost-effective way of doing marketing but it begs the question of whether the sponsorship is even relevant and whether this just turned into a photo competition. By tagging #ad on their photos, rather than drawing attention to the colorful Prada bags, the bag turned into some props instead of looking like a luxury brand.

Actors Seohyun, Sohee, Lee Siyoung, Gong Seungyeon, Oh Yeonseo, Lee Hyeri, Go Yunjeong, Im Soohyang, Apink's Son Naeun, singers Sunmi, Mamamoo Hwasa, Kim Sejeong, and Chungha were all celebrities who were seen posting the sponsored shot of Prada's new bag as of the 8th. Lee Hi, Oh My Girl Arin, Twice Sana, Weki Meki Kim Doyeon, Tiffany Young, Sandara Park, Heize, etc. also joined in.

In addition, broadcasters Kim Nayoung, models Lee Hyunee, Jinkyung, Lee Hojeong Lee, Jung Hoyeon, and other famous YouTubers also received the sponsorship. At this rate, it turned into a friendship item rather than a luxury item.

As the target age group has become younger, sponsorship from celebrities has become essential. Sponsoring celebrities and influencers is the most cost-effective marketing as it naturally becomes a publicity method that can reach an unlimited amount of people without much effort put into it.

However, 'luxury' is supposed to apply to items that others don't easily have access to. What kind of consumer would want a bag given to countless celebrities for free? The Prada store became relatively quiet compared to other luxury brands.

Is a celebrity's sponsored photo worth 3 million won? Prada knows the answer.

original post: here

1. Gain holding the red bag shows no sincerity ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. Burberry and Prada are ruining their image

3. Aigo.... I found it so "new" a while ago and was planning to buy is but this is lowering the worth of the bag

4. Hwasa's photo looks like a f*cking photoshoot though

5. This seriously decreases my desire to buy it

6. This is seriously a turn off from Prada ㅋㅋㅋ

7. They're overexposing it. If I find something else at the same price, I'm definitely not buying this one

8. Seriously I find it so so when people post sponsored pictures

9. If they're overexposing it for free why would I spend that much money on it?

10. I don't care if they spread it scarcely and picks the celebrities that really suits the brand, but Prada overdone it
