[theqoo] "POSSIBILITY OF A PANDEMIC" DISCOVERY OF A NEW TYPE OF VIRUS IN CHINA

Research has shown that a new swine flu virus has been discovered in China that has the potential to spread to humans and cause a global pandemic.

Scientists from Chinese universities and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDCP) have published a paper containing this information in the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), AFP and BBC broadcasts reported on the 29th (local time).

The virus, labeled "G4," is a new influenza (H1N1) strain that has been reported to be transmitted mainly through pigs, but can also infect humans.
