'"Even paper straws won't be attached".. Hitting the #1 straws company in the world with a bomb'
"As the Ministry of Environment decided to enact a law banning the attachment of straws to beverage products as early as next year, related industries took a hit. Products with straws are on display at a large supermarket in Seoul."
Isn't this totally oba?

No but Korea is such a bogger-sized country. If big leading countries like the US or China don't do this, this is just meaningless. Why are we doing this? Seriouslyㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Seriously, it's a skill to be only doing things that only get them hate

Do they think that it will solve everything just by just changing the regulations?

Seriously, instead of getting rid of straws, shouldn't they get rid of excessive packaging instead?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Also, if we can't use straws anymore, then it's just fair to stop using shopping bags and ask customers to bring their own bags instead? Also, I use stainless straws at home because I have a dish washer but I don't want to take them and start using them outside..

No but the use of paper straw was supposed to be a substitute.... and they suddenly just announce that they will be discontinuing all straws... seriously, I've never seen a country like ours

Why are people mad at this..? Our country uses so much plastic and we had a plastic crisis back then and we're still at the limit now.. having a straw attached to the drink will use more plastic because of the vinyl wrap around it. Is there a reason why you should absolutely eat something with a straw..?

I think that it's a good thing. We need to reduce our use of plastic. It's severe. If you are aware of the severity of it but still wants to do as you wish because of your comfort, that's just being selfish
