JYP has always considered their company's image more important than their artists' image
Almost all JYP artists fans will know about this
Whether it's on broadcast or anything that's meant for the public, you can see how disgustingly invested they are at conserving the company's image
I'll try to write down why JYP has been so brutal towards GOT7
They've been neglected for 7 months
- The members mentioned they wanted to have a cooking Vlive and both time, they got ignored
- During the time the members had no promotions, they released new goods 3 times
- They never released any suing statement over members' rumors (that are objectively nonsense) and always keep the neutral position
After releasing a full album after the 7 months negligence
- 1 week promotion (with 3 music shows appearance)
- No showcase
- No MV teaser
- Making a typo in the teaser picture- No promotion in the official IG
- No advertisement on their official Twitter about the highlight, but instead decides to hold an outdoor ad in this economy
- No radio appearance for their full album comeback, 2 Youtube content, Weekly idol and Idol on Quiz, that's it
- Called it even with a 10 minutes video for a 5 days schedule, in which they didn't even have a filming staff and had to film with selfie cams
- JYP were getting cursed at, so they let the members have a Vlive at 2AM in the morning
These are the things I could think of on the whim
Before the renewal time arrived, they wasted a whole year away for the artist
If you consider their trainee days, the members have spent almost 10 years with JYP, yet they're not even considered like coworkers with the lack of manners they received
To be frank, GOT7 were the money earners when JYP used to be having hard times, they've went through so much hardships yet JYP never mentioned GOT7 and they were overall overlooked
Aside from all this, because JYP is fixated on making money through GOT7, even when they got some interest domestically, they were sent to Japan to debut, and had to choose between having a world tour or having an album, they're still being gaslight thinking they're still lacking, they stopped releasing Vlives, etc.
There are a lot of people who think that GOT7 are undervalued domestically, but it's not that they're undervalued, they have sufficient fame and they're also delivering good results, but JYP aren't promoting them so they're undervalued versus the actual popularity they have.
This is why I got so turned off by JYP in 2020. I hope that people shut up about disbandment or whatever if you don't know anything. GOT7 are more hardworking than anyone else. 7 or never^^

And they're also giving the company's rep more opportunities than the company's artists. They've been constantly doing team kill by making that company rep release an album the same time another company artist releases something..
