A witness is claiming to have seen Yang Hyun Suk provide prostitution at a club and Hwang Hana was also there.
According to the MBC Explorative program 'Straight' that aired on May 27, the head and founder of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk procured sex services for 2 south east Asian financiers in July 2014. The production team from 'Straight' obtained testimony from 25 women that were present at the meeting who attended the reception that included Yang Hyun Suk, a famous singer, and overseas financiers.
According to the program, former Big Bang member Seungri paid for the hotel fee with the YG corporate card at the time when the sexual services were provided. There were suspicions that YG entertainment was involved in the prostitution incident but the police didn't investigate YG at all.
At that time, an executive from YGX, a subsidiary of YG, was also present. A victim said, "The YGX executive was in the corner when I was led to a room with a Thai man. It was a really big deal for me at the time because I almost died from the whiskey that the Thai man gave me. The YGX executive seemed to be taking care of the Thai man and acted like a guide." Witnesses said that Hwang Hana was among those invited adding that after the meal they all headed to Club NB managed by Yang Hyun Suk as Yang Hyun Suk watched from the railing. The foreign investors chose their favorite women to go to their rooms and they all didn't come out until dinner the next day. There were also a lot of bar girls in the room every time. Some of the women flew in the private planes with the financiers that attended the event. There were about 8 men and 25 women invited and at least 10 women were mobilized by madam 'Jung'.
On the other hand, the famous singer that attended the meeting made a statement to the 'Straight' team saying that "he only went because he was invited by someone he knew and he didn't know about the sexual services."
YG Yang Hyun Suk also released a statement and said, "Yes I was present at the event but I don't know about the sexual services. I didn't pay for the meals myself. I don't know at all. There was no further contact with the financiers after the event. I know madam Jung but I don't know why the women attended."
Police are reportedly trying to find out the exact facts of the case. The prostitution among minors was also rampant inside the Gangnam club. A minor who sold sex in the club said, "It costs about 300,000 won inside and 500,000 won outside. I get cash from the club MD. The youngest is 14 years old. A former Gangnam club employee said, "If you take a pill, your eyes turn slightly and the drunk ones just start talking gibberish. They also can't tell their parents. If there's a problem with the VIP or club staff, the club and police have joined forces to prevent any issues. When a drugged woman is found they cut off her club Burning Sun bracelet and get rid of the evidence. If there's any issues with the VIP, we're supposed to make sure they're never inconvenienced and other guests can be banned or kicked out."
There's also evidence that police at the government controlled district Yeoksam office used police official cards like club tickets. An employee from a Gangnam club said, "I'm from Yeoksam district University and even i've heard about the police taking care of Burning Sun business. I heard that the police and inspectors get paid a lot of money to take care of the club. There is a connection between club Burning Sun and Yeoksam District Police Unit."
Meanwhile, according to the 'Straight' production team, a new club 'Label' opened 2 months after Burning Sun was closed and the new club sells ultra-high priced liquor sets similar to those at club Arena and Burning Sun. The new club also retained the same staff from club Burning Sun.
