[enter-talk] LET'S RAISE AWARENESS OVER NAVER ABOLISHING REAL-TIME SEARCH RANKINGS

t/n: for those who don't know, real-time search rankings on Naver work just like how Twitter works, but the effect is more 'pervasive' than Twitter trending topics and you can't easily change the related search terms by trending certain stuff or cleaning the 'search bar'. Real-time search ranking is more or less an equivalent to Twitter trending topics, but it's based on the most searched topics rather than actual posts/tweets

I'm sorry for breaking the flow of articles, but I think we should gather some attention around this issue

Isn't this f*cking severe?
' Naver "the war of real-time search rankings" will disappear... Discontinued the search service after 16 years'
(article talks about Naver planning to abolish everything that has to do with real-time searches. They saw how real-time searches can become a problem over time and how advertisements/real-time search rankings can compromise on the reliability of the news/searches.)

All the issues that I was made aware of was thanks to the real-time search rankings so far
But now we won't be able to see what are the current issues anymore
Controversies like the Jung-in case also got known thanks to real-time search rankings
Doesn't this mean that all the topics like that will get buried?;;

Let's send this to the top trending articlesㅠㅠ

Can they just get the associated search terms to disappear instead... (T/n: associated search terms will remove things like "Taemin good dancer" and only keep "Taemin" in the search, so he will still trend but you wouldn't be able to see why, it removes basically anything that is attached to the search term)

So is Naver holding hands with the politicians?

Huh but whyㅋㅋㅋㅋ they're f*cking good at getting rid of things when it's unnecessary

There's no point to Naver if they remove thisㅋㅋ  There's already more materials on Google, I rather just use Google moving forward

People say that terms like "nuclear power plant" will also be removed because it trended in the real-time search rankings f*ck we're no different from China

The real issue is all the fake news.. I agree we should get rid of this since they use celebrities to trend to bury other things

Aren't they doing this because of the pressure they were having?
